Skill Tree: Standard Builds For PSO2 and NGS

Hello everyone! This post is dedicated to new people who have a hard time understanding the skill tree. For higher levels it is useful and ideal that you examine you skill tree more thoroughly to be able to do better than what comes out here and completely according to the fighting style you wants to carry (beware that you will need a reset pass that sega gives 1 time every several months to change the points that have already been set; I recommend doing it right from the beginning, but these builds will give you a good idea as reference).

In NGS classes have more freedom to change subclasses than in PSO2, however there are still some combinations that require a specific Main and Sub class. In this section of the guide we will see Standard skill trees for main and sub classes, as well as some Standard combinations of main with sub classes. For tactical skill trees designed for specific missions or situations please review a specialized guide for each class (this usually requires Skill Tree expansions that require AC earned with real money)

Note: When using main class weapons you get a 10% damage bonus. Subclass weapons do not get this bonus even if it is a multi-weapon.

Sub Classes
In NGS the sub classes can be easily exchanged depending on what additional benefit you want to obtain. In addition, there may be tactical builds that will require a very specific construction different from those that we will show here, which are the general uses as sub-classes, so for constructions of this type a specialized guide is recommended in this regard or of each class.

Hunter: Survival

Fighter: Damage and aditional PP against down enemies
*Especially useful against bosses

Ranger: Resistance and Reduction Against Negative Effects

Gunner: PP Recovery By Attacking
*Especially useful for misions with many enemies

Force: Automatic PP Recovery with reduced survival
*This works with the normal attacks and also any actions that allows the automatic pp recovery works

*Against Bosses or PSE Zones works specially fine

Techter: Quick Charge for the Photon Blast
*This only works for elemental classes or if we are fighting against a boss type. Only recommended for elemental classes.

Braver: HP Recovery Improved
*Also reduces the recieved damage for classes who can hold the parry

Bouncer: Against Enemies With Many Breakable Parts

Note: It is recommended to those who use the Hunter Skill Tree as Sub or Main Class, find out about the skill "Automate", "Iron Will", "Flash Guard", "Massive Hunter" and "Healing Guard", since they are skills commonly used that help to survive, which vary in the tree depending on the style and need of each one.

Note 2: Some dodge skills like "Dive Roll Advance" and "Step Advance" can be useful for some classes as they significantly improve the invincibility time of those moves. If you have difficulty dodging, find out about these skills that enhance these characteristics.

THESE ARE UNREFINED STANDARD SKILL TREES !!
The points shown in this guide are the fundamental and most important ones that should never be missing. For the last points we suggest to learn more deeply about your class and fighting style by practicing and knowing deeply about the optimal situation for the use of each Photon Art or Technique.

Before of making any change in your skill tree we recommend to use the simulator:

For new people who do not know which skills are most useful at the beginning:
The most useful at the beginning is to raise the damage and acquire skills that improve the combat style. Therefore, uploading those skills that indicate a certain percentage of additional damage in the images (120% for example) are the ones that must be prioritized. This is when considering the pso2 damage formula:

 Damage = (Attack-Defense) * 0.2 * Y1 * Y2 * Y3 * ... * Yn

, where Y1, ..., Yn are each of the skills that add damage as a percentage, which in pso2 is always as a multiplication. Being a multiplication by having several different together, a greater effect is obtained, for example by having 2 skills that increase the damage to 120%, the final result is 120% * 120% = 1.2 * 1.2 = 1.44 = 144% instead of 140% that would occur in the sum.

*Some skill trees have particular variations, such as Bow Braver / Ranger that is used for situations where the enemy always has their head exposed for a head shot, or Techer / Hunter that uses only the wand and no techniques. In the case of wanting unusual builds like these, it is suggested to review specialized guides for the desired class.
